PRINCIPAL
Andrea Ellis
​
Andrea has a dance career spanning 35 years which has given her the opportunity to dance and mentor students locally, interstate and overseas. Andrea has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Spanish and Acrobatics. She attended John Curtin College of the Arts on a scholarship, studying Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre. Andrea studied and completed exams in the CSTD Theatrical and RAD Ballet syllabuses and started teaching as an Assistant Teacher at 16 years of age. Since then Andrea has continued to share her knowledge as a teacher and mentor in the dance community. Andrea has continued to advance her dance knowledge and training, completing a Progressing Ballet Technique Junior, Senior and Advanced Programs Certification in 2018. Andrea is excited to share her skills and knowledge with students and welcomes everyone to UNITY Dance Co.

TEACHER / ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Nyah Rewell-Davis

Nyah's love and passion for dance began at the age of five, and she has been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Nyah has also participated in many dance competitions, gaining experience to further her technique and training. Nyah has completed RAD Ballet and APAS exams in Jazz and Tap. Throughout her career Nyah has attended many dance workshops where she had the opportunity to work with some of Australia's best choreographers, and notes the Australian Dance Festival in Sydney as a career highlight. Nyah is excited to share her love and passion for dance with UNITY Dance Co students!

TEACHER / ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Zali Stafford
​
Dancing from the age of 3, Zali has trained in Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary and Lyrical. She has completed exams in Jazz, and has worked hard to improve her technique and knowledge in all genres. Zali credits her participation in dance competitions and workshops for improving her dance development. A career highlight was attending the Sydney Dance Festival where she worked with some of Australia's top choreographers. Zali also had the opportunity to perform in the 2019 Showcase Dance Cruise National Dance Championships. Zali is looking forward to bringing a fun and positive vibe to all her UNITY Dance Co classes.

TEACHER
Bre Wastell
​
Bre has been dancing since the age of 4 and is trained in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical and Ballet. Bre has completed exams in Jazz and Tap with Ballet Australasia Ltd (BAL) syllabus and has been competing in Eisteddfods since the age of 9. One of her highlights was attending the Showcase Dance National South Pacific Championships in October 2019. Bre loves dancing and the amazing opportunities it provides and is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with you!

Abi Hartwig
​
Abi has been dancing since the age of 4, and has trained in styles including, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Acrobatics and Hip Hop. She studied Dance ATAR in Grades 11 and 12 and has completed RAD Ballet and APAS Jazz exams. Abi loves performing and has been competing in Dance Competitions since the age of 11. Career highlights for her are participating in the 2023 Australian Dance Festival in Sydney, as well as dancing in the 2023 Perth Dream Creative with The Dream Dance Company. Abi is excited to share her passion for dance with the students at UNITY Dance Co.

Averil Reilly
​
Averil's love and passion for dance sparked at the age of 11, training in jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, contemporary, hip hop and acrobatics. Averil has completed exams in APAS Jazz and RAD Ballet and attends workshops with renown choreographers. Highlights of Averil's dance career is the 2023 trip to ADF where she completed various workshops with various choreographers and styles. She was also offered a half scholarship to dance full time at MILK dance studios is Sydney Australia. Averil has won performer of the night at our end of year 2021 concert and just recently won most Outstanding Competition Performance in our 2023 concert. Averil's excited to be a part of our teaching team to make all classes a fun, safe and inclusive environment at UNITY Dance Co.

JUNIOR TEACHER
Sannae Rewell-Davis

Sannae has been dancing since the age of 3, training in the styles of hip hop, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics and tap. She has completed exams in APAS jazz and attended various workshops. Sannae loves to perform and one of her proudest dance achievements was receiving the performance award at Express Dance Challenge in 2022. A highlight of her dance career was attending the Australian Dance Festival in Sydney where she worked with some of Australia's top choreographers. Sannae is excited to share her love and passion for dance with the students at Unity Dance Co.
